The pub is located in small backstreets, but close to a pay and display car park. The pub was busy on our arrival but we were soon shown to our room. The busyness of the pub changed to calm as we went upstairs and were pleasantly surprised by the rooms. Small, but clean and nicely decorated. Plentiful tea and coffee on display too, unlike some places that give one tea bag per person per night. We returned after a party to find the pub still open after midnight. This could be a problem for some as it wasn't quiet upstairs, which soon changed at 1am when the pub closed. Breakfast was nice, nothing special but filling and warm. We'd stay again. Saturday nights in summer are best avoided by those wanting a quiet time though.

Lovely room, Ideal for my needs
Room 4 - was a good size and the bed very comfortable. Large TV with access to all Freeview channels. Kettle and biscuits for those preferring tea or coffee, plus a mini-fridge with bottles of water. Very nice and bright en-suite, with frosted-glass window offering some privacy but would personally have liked a blind for extra privacy. Red Lion's location is great for proximity to town centre and routes heading in and out of Cardigan, though the roads are very tight and there is no parking on the property. For parking, Gloster Row and Williams Terrace are within 2-5mins walk, and at £4.60 for 24hr parking is very reasonable, given 24hr parking in Cambridge is over £30! Overall a very pleasant stay, would recommend.

Excellent one night stay.
Excellent value for money, room is a decent size, Super sized bed, large bathroom with walk in Shower. All very clean and tidy, pleasant staff. Vegetarian breakfast was not a problem, and inc Richmond veggie sausages! All in all a very pleasant stay 😊

A lovely place,clean rooms , very nice staff, lovely breakfast, cheap beer, the only problem, well its not really a problem, you can park in a free car park which is about 30 second walk by a very scenic river,I would stay there again and look forward to it
