Beautiful hotel ideally situated between Birmingham and Coventry in a quiet village. Fantastic for access to the NEC. Great facilities including use of the swimming pool. Golf is available also and rates seem very reasonable. The room was comfortable with tea and coffee facilities, large screen TV and great sized bathroom and shower. One minor issue we had was all the cupboard shelves had a layer of dust on so we could not use and simply left our clothes in the case. Breakfast choice is excellent and evening bar meal also very good. We didn't try the restaurant so can't comment on that. There's a large free car park which is close to the accommodation, but on the 2nd day there was a wedding and we struggled to park. That said there might have been overspill parking we did not see. Altogether a pleasant stay and we would happilly stay there again. Thank you.

The hotel and grounds look lovely. Unfortunately the room 43 was in a modern extension which was accessed by a very unpleasant route. On arrival we were told there was an issue with the key machine which created an anxiety about accessing the room. Coming home latish at night we were locked out of the external door. We used the leisure centre which was great but access was via the unpleasant route. We think there was an internal route but this was never pointed out.

While the staff at the hotel are very, very good from check-in to bar staff they are all helpful polite and ready to fix any issues in the room. The hotel is tired and dated the rooms are basic and not well laid out, this makes it expensive when compared the others in the same price bracket.

We stayed 3 nights. The room was good although the extractor fan in the bathroom was not strong enough to clear the humidity. The soundproofing for the rooms was terrible. The piano bar served great food but the piano was under the stairs in the hall out of tune. 99% of the staff were lovely - polite, professional and helpful.

The made to order breakfast was a bonus too! The hotel itself was quite run down and our room was not the most clean it could have been. But it had a unique rustic vibe to it. We had a lovely cosy stay.
