AMAMI ryokan

家族3人で泊まりました。台風接近前日でしたが、到着まで気遣って頂きました。部屋は広くて、静かでした。勝浦駅からタクシーで10分、1300円くらいの場所です。チェックアウトの後、駅まで送って頂きました。勝浦に宿泊の際には、また利用したいです。

The property is a large, old house that has been converted into several individual rooms, with shared facilities such as toilets and a kitchen. The location is in a nice, quiet town, but the house is situated at the top of a very steep hill. Even during the daytime, navigating the road up to the property was already quite challenging, with several tight corners and blind spots. At night, I would imagine it would be considerably more difficult, as some sections of the road are very dark with limited visibility. Drivers unfamiliar with the area should take extra care. We were greeted by a Chinese-speaking man who was taking care of the house. Fortunately, the whole house was empty during our stay, and we were allowed to choose our room. We selected a room on the top floor with its own attached toilet. Unfortunately, the condition of the room was quite disappointing. The room was old, the wallpaper was coming off in places, and there was a noticeable smell in the room. The futons, pillows and blankets also had an unpleasant smell to them. We had originally booked two nights but decided to leave after just one night. To be honest, we couldn't wait to leave the house. Another disappointment was that there were no bath towels or small towels provided. We had to go out and purchase our own towels just to stay for the night. Considering the room rate, I felt that the actual condition and facilities were not what I had expected, even for a 2-star property. Overall, the property is in a nice location and the surrounding town is pleasant, but the facilities and condition of the accommodation could be significantly improved. At this price point, I would personally consider driving another hour to Chiba City, where there are cheaper 4-star hotels offering considerably better facilities and comfort. I would strongly recommend considering the condition of the rooms, availability of basic amenities, and the difficult road access before booking this property.This version sounds strongly negative without being unfair, and the specific details about the wallpaper, smell, towels and difficult access make the criticism much more convincing.
