Good place to stay overnight or two

Checking in took almost half an hour because there was no receptionist when I entered the hostel. I started knocking on one the hostel rooms when I heard somebody inside. He helped me with checking in on my WhatsApp but was not very good with his English-speaking skills. Anyway, during my one day stay I had unfortunately experienced diarrhea and went to the bathroom on numerous occasions overnight. Late overnight I inadvertantly wetted the sheets with a light green stain. The next morning, I took the sheets off and threw them on the floor. The mattress was fine because the second set of sheets had a waterproof barrier. The next morning when I left the hostel there was nobody around. The next day I got a call from the hostel owner saying I have to pay 160.00 Euros for the damage to the sheets. They were not damaged they just needed to be thoroughly cleaned. I told him I am not going to be blackmailed and pay this price. He threatened me by telling me he was going to contact the police and that he would see me in court. I got several phone calls for about a week on my WhatsApp but I did not recognize the caller so I did not answer. I t looks like this will have been my last trip in visiting Spain. It's too bad because the other hostels I stayed in Spain I had a pleasant experience.
