I read many reviews about this place and I was worried about the overall appearance of the place. Thankfully, my experience was good, I had a new fridge, clean bedding and daily clean up. The dishes were clean and so was the curtains. Cabins are on the smaller side, but it can easily fit all guests and the kids love the bunk. The Lowlight- it rained on the day of arrival and guest was struggling with their braais, since it was poorly lit braai areas with no shelter. Day 2 of our holiday our room had a overflowing sewerage under the cabin. Reception was friendly and they tried to assist with the problem. The swimming pool and the swings were under maintenance. But, there is a games room overlooking the lake, and there was no smell. Also, make sure you carry a small first aid kit, as, I cut my finger and needed first aid/stitches ( at the time i didn't know it was quite deep, until 2 days later my finger was still bleeding ). The resort didn't have plasters, since there was a recent injury the first aid box was not re- filled. But I managed to get supplies from a local store, located 5 mins away. They stock everything and very decently price. Also the guy at Reception did check up on my finger various times, even on check out and I was ok.

Good
Lovely peaceful place, but one major issue for us, was the bed. Not a comfortable sleep at all. Some hike trails needed clearing as they were overgrown.

Awesome stay
This is a hidden gem in Southern Berg, it is absolutely wonderful, what a great place with stunning views, the chalets are well equipped, from all the animals, to the pool, to the games room, to some amazing walks, to swimming and having a pinic riverside, Elands Rest convenience store a few meters down the road has everything you need, including an affordable take away- it's my 2nd visit and we are already planning a 3rd trip, it is so peaceful and tranquil, very difficult to leave after a great weeks stay...

Perfect family outing
My family and I loved the place the stuff was amazing and helpful even offered to move us to a bigger cabin for my kids comfort for free they have a game room and a jungle gym facility we was also amazed at their convenience store prices which was absolutely reasonable and halal foods that was available for our convenience. Overall my 4 kids and my husband and I was quite amazed with the place and will definitely go back there .
