Hachimantai Mountain Hotel & Spa

The hotel is suitable if you are exploring the Hachimantai National Park. The public bus stops right in front of the hotel. Very quiet and peaceful surrounding. The downside is that there is no shops or restaurant nearby except one small restaurant which is 10 minutes walk from the hotel. So, you probably need to take your breakfast or dinner in the hotel which is quite expensive. If you are not staying in a big group, suggest to avoid the room with tatami as it seems to have some smell. The staff was kind to change our room to a western type upon our request. The service of the team of front desk is excellent. Very friendly and helpful. Kato san was nice to help us to talk to a local guide to find out more about the hikes. Also, another staff was very patient in helping us to contact another hotel to cancel our booking due to some mistakes. Thank you very much !

The hotel is a little bit old as expected. Hotel facilities are old-styled. The room I had was a semi western room. The western-styled bed and pillow weren’t comfortable. Onsen was empty on the day I was there, but nothing to brag about. Breakfast was acceptable, enough choices. Had a run in the morning was enjoyable because of the view nearby.

土曜日宿泊でも、手頃な値段です！お部屋のバージョンアップにも、すぐに対応してくれ、リフォームした綺麗な洋室に宿泊出来ました。温泉も露天風呂は硫黄で真っ白なお湯で、遠くに八幡平山脈が見えて、のんびり出来ました。
