The owner is a super nice lady and the environment the owner makes is great (many people come together at night and enjoy chatting). A little far from the attractions and is a 20 minute walk from the station if you want to go into the city or Nara Park, but I personally enjoy the quiet environment more!

Of all the places I stayed in Japan during family & solo trip this October, this was my favorite place to stay. It was also the cleanest, most affordable , and had nicest hosts. Host couple live on the first floor and guests stay upstairs. One big room has 6 beds, two of which were singles and two were bunkbeds. There is also a private room which is an authentic Japanese room, complete with tatami mat. Host provided clean set of towels each day and even changed toilet room finger towels each day. It was my first time staying at a Japanese home, and I got to appreciate the genius of Japanese sunk-in leg room under the floor table on the first floor common area. Hosts were always available and very attentive. They provided filtered water, and freshly brewed tea was always available. 2nd floor has refrigerator and microwave, but guests were asked to only eat downstairs. And it made perfect sense, because their living room is very welcoming, and comfortable. Host will do your laundry for ***, which includes drying. I did not utilize this service because I had more than enough clean clothes for the trip, but I’m pretty sure it would have been impeccable. If your travel includes Nara, you cannot go wrong booking here. I got to walk the oldest trail in Japan, which was little under 10 miles in one day, but there are many other trails to explore here. I cannot recommend this place enough. I am glad I made a last minute decision to to include Nara/Tenri during this trip.

静かな住宅地にあり、徒歩２分くらいの所にドラッグストア、５分くらいの所に安いスーパーと菓子専門店とパチンコ屋、コンビニもあります。 外観は民家ですが中身はゲストハウスとして綺麗に改装されていて古さはなく清潔です。 ホストの奥様からは地元の話もいろいろしていただき旅の意義も深まりました。

昨今はセルフチェックインのゲストハウスが増えてきているなか、利用方法やパーキングまで説明されて安心して泊まれました。土曜日でも安く泊まれてありがたかったです。

Propriétaire très sympathique, auberge propre et très agréable, lit confortable. Attention l’auberge est assez éloignée du centre-ville et assez mal desservi (1 train toutes les 30 minutes et 20 minutes de marche pour arriver à la gare)
