Booked this ryokan as we visited Shirakawago during winter, which was about 20mins drive away which was great for a pit stop. We reached around 5.30pm and it was already dark and was quite hard to find the building. Free parking opposite the ryokan and mini mart just beside. As we arrived too late, we missed the dinner provided. Owner was so kind to lead us to bring us all the way to the restaurant which was just 2 mins away as it was too dark and she afraid that we might lose our way. Onsen is great and we had a great breakfast before we set off to our road trip again.

Great homemade breakfast!

泊まり心良い/ Great place to stay at Gokayama
高速道路が渋滞して、夜遅く来ました。旅館からメールで連絡してくれて、タクシーと夕飯を対応してくれました。結構来た時間が遅くなっちゃって、レストラン行けなくなったが、夕飯も作ってくれました。 本当に大変な時に対応してくれて、ありがとうございました。 今度五箇山と白川郷行けば、また泊まりたいです。五箇山に行く方におすすめです。 The highway was congested and we came late at night. The ryokan contacted me by email and arranged for a taxi and dinner. I arrived quite late and couldn't go to the restaurant, but they cooked dinner for us. Thank you for accommodating me at such a difficult time. Next time I go to Gokayama and Shirakawa-go, I'd like to stay here again. I recommend it to anyone going to Gokayama.
