Phunphin Station

We stayed one night as we were driving from Hua Hin to Koh Samui with a toddler. It’s great for 1 nights stay if you’re passing through but not any longer. We had room A1 which was directly above the reception and the window looked out into the hallway so was also noisy. I think this may be the worst room in the hotel. Location is great for the station and also a 7Eleven nearby.

This was a tiny room, but it was very well thought out. It has everything from a new bathroom, a comfy bed, a desk, a chair,a place to hang clothes, a fridge, air conditioning, Wi-Fi. The only thing I would comment on is it’s not a good place if you’re trying to sleep during the day which I was. Every sound from down in their lobby carries up the open air stairway into the hallway where the rooms are. Perhaps staff down there don’t know it amplifies up.. I told them I was leaving in the middle of the night because I needed to catch a train, but when I went to leave both the back fire door and the front door were locked from the inside and I needed to wake up the night person to let me out. A dangerous scenario if there were truly a fire or an emergency.

Good for a night if you need a place to stay near the train station.

Perfect if you need to be near the railway station for late/early trips.

Simple location and accommodation. Convenient to bus station.
