This property is up a very very steep climb up the side of the hill. No where does it mention how extreme of a climb is needed to reach just the kitchen communal area. Its at leave 200 large steps at a very steep incline. Then once you are there the top yurt, which is the only yurt with a bathroom is another 200 plus steps up the mountain. The altitude is 5000ft. The combination of the two plus the heat made this absolutely miserable. Thry said because I booked on agoda that they were unable to contact me to arrange arrival times ans help with my luggage. Every other hotel I have ever booked with agoda has reached out through the platform just fine. As I said I was unaware of the extreme nature of this property and I had no one to help me haul all of my bags up the steps. Finally when I got to the first level the manager came out and apologized that she didn't know I was coming and told me that she was unable to make contact with me to coordinate my arrival. Then I found out that the yurt that I had booked did not have a bathroom in the bathroom was at least a hundred stairs down the mountain but was able to move me to the highest yurt that had a bathroom. I have hip issues and found this to be such an extreme sport just to get to the room that once I left for the day I refuse to come back until it was time to go to bed. The property is also outside of town and it was a big hassle to get tuk tuk rides to and from town. They either didn't want to take me or over charged me everytime. It definitely removed the ease and comfortability out of my vacation. Now to get to the actual yurt, the view is stunning, the bed and the bedding are lovely but it is a plastic tent that blows and flaps with the wind and as I said it's at the very top of the hill so it's windy the entire time it breaks and makes noise all night. As a solo traveler, I was on high alert all.night as it sounded like someone was trying to get inside the tent. There are houses and people who live above on the hillside. There is no true curtains or sun blocking as soon as the sun comes up your entire tent is bright and there's no fans and no way to cool it down once it starts getting warm outside. It becomes way to stuffy and uncomfortable by early morning. I think that it's incredibly overpriced for what kind of service they are giving you. There are no showers except for way down the hill which means you'd have to go back and forth to take a shower which as I said is hundreds of steps. I think if you're incredibly fit and adventurous this might be the place for you but as I said there was no forewarning as to the extremity of the stairs and it just did not work for my physical ailments or my comfortability needs. It was more expensive than some really lovely places in town and that just didn't make any sense to me. I did book this place based on it's amazing reviews I'm just very surprised how it can be rated so highly for the primitive type of accommodations that it is.
