Firstly, I did not spend enough time here staying for only 2 nights only to fully enjoy the serenity and retreat that Malala would definitely have been the terrific place to be as you are surrounded by the sounds and movements of nature away from all the hustle and bustle which I managed to at least spend one morning to fully appreciate this beautiful place. As I arrived pretty late, the staff waited to welcome me at this resort and what made me truly impressed was the care that the team showed. Especially Fazar who went out of his way to wake up early around 3:45am and prepared a sandwich for me to take with me on my safari trip. The extra mile to care for their guests made the stay so lovely, and such a warm feeling. They even reheat the takeaway food I brought and plated up a Sri Lankan breakfast mind you it was like a feast because I wanted it. The hospitality provided was certainly above and beyond and very refreshing. The room and bathroom (very important to me) were very clean and the bed was one that you sank into and slept like a baby in. As I spent my last morning appreciating the surroundings, it was a worthwhile morning for sure. I will certainly return to this lovely place and spend more time. In summary, a wonderful place to be to escape and enjoy the silence and nature!

If you want quiet, lovely service, clean and comfortable rooms with lots of birds then come here.. Absolutely beautiful property with an amazing and gracious chef Fazal. Thank you for feeding us such delicious food and for your company. Thank you also to Athula and Dinesh for looking after us, thank you for your kindness. We went on their bird watching boat safari, which was relaxing and we saw many birds.

Nice view and staff is good as well

I wish we had stayed longer. The hotel was immaculately clean, the food was fantastic and the staff were incredibly kind and generous. We saw so many birds from the loungers by the pool.
