An absolutely beautiful Ryokan nestled slightly off the beaten path. The Onsen was relaxing, the meals delicious, and the staff were courteous and friendly. For those traveling without a car it may be a little hard to get to, but the peaceful ambiance is well worth it. I would recommend a stay here.

Very welcoming family and we really enjoyed the stay.

We stopped here in our cycling trip from Tokyo to Kyoto. The family running this Ryokan was warm and welcoming. The place is magical although a bit secluded. The river sounds in the background were soothing. Strongly recommended!

Unforgettable

Quiet location surrounded by magnificent forest views, next to a stream and duck pond and stunning nature trails. Authentic traditional ryokan with tatami mat rooms and friendly, accomodating staff. Nicest people we’ve met in Japan.
