This is my second time staying at Riverview Spa and I enjoyed it just as much as the first time! Definitely my go to place when I need time out. Thank you to the Riverview Team for your incredible hospitality

What a lovely stay at Riverview Spa Bed an Breakfast! The lush surroundings with a view of the river has a wonderful calming effect. And please do try the omelette for breakfast.

For *** per night, this place is seriously below standard. We were allocated Room***, which had a strong unpleasant smell, very old furniture, and an extremely poor shower. It is hard to believe this is a place where guests are expected to clean themselves comfortably. There was no air conditioning (despite very hot conditions), a very small TV, no Wi‑Fi, and no on-site dinner facilities. Even more concerning, dinner must be ordered by 14:00 on the same day, which we were never informed about prior to arrival. None of these limitations are disclosed on the booking platform. The host later claimed that this information was sent via email, which we never received, and it later became apparent that they had incorrect contact details, meaning we were deprived of the opportunity to review the T&Cs and cancel timeously. Given the unacceptable condition of the room and the lack of basic amenities, we decided not to stay at all. Despite this, the host refused to refund us, and we ultimately lost the full ***When we requested to be moved to a different room, the host advised that this would only be possible at an additional cost. There was no consideration or flexibility whatsoever. Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing, and unfair wrt treating customers fairly considering that it was also my birthday on the day, it was just a frustration. I would definitely not recommend this place, especially for couples. I genuinely do not understand how it manages to maintain a 9.1 rating.
