료칸 사카모토

I'm an overnight solo traveler who wanted to experience staying at a location in Amanohashidate that felt homey and cozy. Sakamotoya Ryokan was just what I was looking for. The location is right in front of the nearest bus stop and right beside a grocery. A few meters across is a pharmacy and a major shrine. Just a corner away is the Ichinomiya Ferry Terminal. And less than 500m away would be the northern-most part of the Amanohashidate land bridge. The staff were a kind couple who met me halfway with my broken spoken Nihongo. Days prior to check-in, I was able to send them a heads up of a rare food allergy over the property chat. They were able to acknowledge and accommodate my request. Consequentlt, breakfast felt like a quiet and authentic home cooked meal. The property could use some maintenance, but I felt the current state of the place had its own charm and history to appreciate. It may not be for everyone, especially those expecting modern facilities. But it was just the space I needed at the time. I checked in on a weekday so it was fairly quiet and I pretty had most of the place to myself. But based on the social media images of the property, they have live performances on certain weekends.

天橋立、元伊勢籠神社が目の前にあり立地は理想的。 素泊りでも歩きの圏内に食事処も有るので不満は無かったです。

とても気さくな店主さんがいらして、楽しいおもてなしを受けました。ありがとうございました。 籠神社の目の前、天の橋立まで歩いて5分以内の好立地。 おすすめです。

The property is run down together with the facilities. I just checked in for four hours and hope they consider a refund due to the reasons I have stated. Not fit at all.

古い旅館なのでトイレが部屋外だったりお風呂も共同です。Wi-Fiありません。トイレはウォシュレットで新しいです。宿の方は丁寧でよい方でした。旅館のすぐとなりにスーパーがあります。天橋立はコンビニがないので助かります。
