For the first time in my life I checked out after a few minutes in the room. Lost money worth getting out of that place. (Refund request ignored so far). Bitten several times by insects in the room. Ants on the bed. Less than a hundred meters from loud construction noise (giant loose metal plate on road is rung like a bell every few minutes when cars drive over).

I forgot my phone and the staff was kind enough and call me, they mailed it back as soon as I sent money for postage, which is fair. However, I don't know why they kept asking me for the password as it is not necessary to know that to mail it. The location may have been nice in the past, but I like going to night markets and it seems like all the "action" takes place 2.3 Kms away. To be fair I was there only a day and there was a lot of traffic going the way of the night market. The hotel is in great shape for being somewhat older, but it's well worth the money and everything in the room was fine. bring a 2 prong electrical adapter as hotels of this era don't have any 3 prong electrical outlets.

The room we had booked was listed as superior, but was very basic. We changed to a better room that was excellent. However, as is often the case, no thought about electric sockets. One socket on one side of the bed, and no socket by the mirror for a hairdryer. No shaver socket by the mirror in the bathroom. The restaurant food was average, and only one bottle of white wine and one champagne. We had both bottles and there was no more for the rest of our stay. I would recommend this hotel, but they need to improve on the things I have mentioned.

Arrived around 9 PM after a long boat trip from Koh Samui to Surat Thani, and check-in was quick and hassle-free, which was much appreciated after a full day of traveling. I ordered a last-minute in-room massage — it wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, but honestly it did the trick and helped me relax. Breakfast is pretty simple, but there were enough options at the buffet to get the day started. The airport is also about a 30-minute ride away, which makes the location convenient if you have a flight to catch. Overall, I had a pleasant stay. The hotel is a bit older, so if you’re expecting something super modern you might notice that, but everything was generally clean and comfortable. For a short stay or travel stopover, it does the job just fine.
