Overnight stay here was OK, Room was clean, tidy, Coffee/ Tea facilities, TV was a bit dodgy with remote but got by, Bathroom clean, up together, Evening meals issues with several items on menu not in stock, but good service by all staff, Breakfast OK but limited replenishment , Good location for city, NEC, Airport, overall in my opinion 6.5/10

Hi, Hockley Heath is a lovely venue, they do weddings, party's, there website tells you more. The staff are smart, very polite and friendly, they go out of there way to accommodate there guests. We use Hockley Heath because our daughter plays bowls for the England under 21's in Solihull. The food is lovely cooked to order, they can get very busy at times but that has not been an issue for us. The only down side is maintenance, we have reported on two occasions about the hot tap in room 4 which you turn on nothing then all of a sudden your splashed and the floor, with water, and when you turn the tap off, you can't turn it off completely and it trickles. It has been reported twice so on our next visit if we are given this room that will be a priority to check, also the French doors there is a terrible draft. This is why I have given it a four star. This hotel is now called Hockley House. I only stayed for one night so I wasn’t there for even 24 hours. It was a nice pleasant hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would say this is a 3 star hotel. I had breakfast which was very nice and very reasonable. The bed wasn’t very comfy and no blankets but I didn’t ask for any. It was very reasonably priced but just a little too far from the town centre for me and it cost me a lot in taxi fares back and forth to the station/NEC. However I would stay there again for one night.

Nice room helpfull staff

Although the staff here are super lovely and extremely helpful, I was uncomfortable my entire stay due to the lack of hygiene. The shower is covered in black mould and mysterious brown stains and the toilet seat was broken so we could only used the sink to clean ourselves. The bathroom also smells of stagnant water and is covered in cobwebs. The room was okay but quite dusty and there were a few stains on one of our bed sheets. The curtains fell off the rail on our final day and since we had a garden view you could see straight into our room from the smoking area. The hallway also had a very unclean smell and the doors to the hotel rooms were accessible without a key card so anyone could walk through which is concerning since there is a bar directly attached to entrance of the hotel. I would advise not staying at this hotel and only visiting for the bar and restaurant services. The food and drinks were very delicious and affordable and bar staff were really friendly!
