Red Fox Lodge Myoko

Red Fox was really nice, the place looks like its been newly renovated with an awesome fireplace, dry room for gear and fabulous breakfast! Brandon the owner / host was very friendly and always willing to help. Shame we had a disastrous stay as the Suginohara gondola was broken across our stay meaning we had to go ski at another resort which was slightly troublesome. Food options is pretty limited in this town but its growing.

Had a wonderful 7 days and 6 nights with Brendan (owner) and the team at Red Fox Lodge. Really the most beautiful hotel with the very best location to the best mountain in Myoko!! Such a warm and cosy place to call home for a perfect weeks skiing/snowboarding! Brendan made our group feel so welcome to his beautiful hotel, there wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for us (including taxing us into town (Akakura) and to/from the train station). He even saved us from certain frost bite very late one night when our taxi cab didn’t turn up!! Best of all Brendan is a top chef and the food out of his kitchen (The Den) was top notch. It was so good we ate there every night. We couldn’t recommend this place any higher. 10/10.

We booked with these guys last minute and were suprised at how awesome it was. Brendan, the owner, was nothing short of awesome. Great facility as well, in particular the lobby was comfy and cozy. One of the best parts was that it was basically ski-in/ski-out. I hate to do it because I want Red Fox to be my new spot but I highly recommend Red Fox Lodge.
