Umkumbe Bush Lodge - Luxury Tented Camp

I had a wonderful experience during my stay at Umkumbe Bush Lodge. The staff's warm and gracious welcome immediately set the tone for a fantastic stay. For lunch, they went above and beyond, customizing wraps to suit my dietary preferences. Following lunch, we embarked on an exhilarating evening safari, complete with refreshments in the heart of the wilderness. Our adventure took an unexpected turn when we encountered a nearby lion, prompting us to retreat to the safety of our safari vehicle for a better view. Our guide's profound knowledge of not only the "Big Five" but also the diverse birdlife enriched the safari experience. As the day transitioned into evening, a delectable traditional barbecue awaited us, providing a culinary highlight. The following morning, our plans for an early game drive were briefly interrupted by heavy rain. However, the lodge's provision of ponchos for our open-air safari vehicles ensured we stayed comfortable. Despite the rain, I was thrilled to spot wild dogs, wildebeests, and even the traditional "Big Five." In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Umkumbe Bush Lodge. My stay was a remarkable blend of adventure and luxury, and the opportunity to witness such incredible wildlife made it an unforgettable experience.
