What a fabulous quirky hotel in a unique position. Excellent food, helpful staff - nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed staying there so much that we booked another stay for later this year before we had even left!!

Great location
Lovely setting, missing the finishing touches. Rooms were cold when first arrived, I kept my coat on for the first hour. Beds not the greatest, two pushed together at different heights. Holes in the bedding and needed replacing, room not serviced properly after our first night stay. Toilet and shower bubbling up one morning, thankfully nothing else unlike some rooms. Although the hotel did rectify the same day. Restaurant limited food options, nice, but very reasonably priced meals and drinks. A definite plus point. Walks and grounds lovely, needs better sign posting for the walks. Nice break but probably wouldn't return to this hotel without improvements.
