Royal Victoria Hotel Snowdonia

Room was not what we expected based on the photos and was smaller than expected, there was a full bin when we arrived and also some matter on the loo seat. Reported this and the staff were friendly and apologetic arranging to sort this immediately The food was amazing and priced well, both bar food and restaurant were great and great quality local produce is used. Really nice

Our stay here was exactly what we were looking for. At the base of Snowdon and with easy access to all other paths and nearby attractions. The facilities were exactly what we expected at this traditional hotel. A little in need of attention in a few areas but nothing major. Our coach house twin room was good. Comfortable beds and large bathroom. The actual room maybe a little on the small for two people with luggage. We had breakfast and food in the bar on both days and it was really good. Gardens are beautiful and we were lucky to have good weather and be able to enjoy drinks outside. Staff were friendly and helpful and with it being a traditional hotel they are happy to help with most requests. Drying room, bike storage and pool table a nice touch. Maybe a little on the pricey side but that’ll be due to the location. I’d definitely stay again.

The room was ok little small and little dated but ok. However there were some issues like the bin was full when we arrived and there was some matter on the loo seat staff were so friendly and helpful when we raised the issues The restaurant is good and the bar food is excellent reasonable prices and excellent quality

Lovely tradional hotel well situated on edge of Llanberis. Plenty of free parking. Our room in main hotel on second floor was a decent size, comfy beds, nice view, large flatscreen TV & a modern, clean bathroom. Breakfast was very good, lots of choice & if you can find a space, lovely views from part of the dining room. Staff were all very polite & efficient, such as Natasha, who ensured that we got freshly baked croissants! We also had an evening meal in one of their restaurants, again very good waiters & a very tasty meal at a reasonable price (I had sword fish steak with fries & salad). We shall definitely be staying again.

Our overall impression was that this hotel is quite underwhelming for the price (I paid 116£ on a week day for a regular twin). Rooms are tiny and very basic. You get higher quality in England for this price. Shower didn't work, had to wait for someone to get us into another room for a shower. Breakfast is OK but strangely no Nutella or any chocolate for the pastry or toasts. No cheese / ham but that seems to be something common in Wales. Nice exterior though, great location.
