Since our flight was scheduled to arrive at 21:00, we checked with the hotel multiple times to confirm that a late check-in around 21:30 would be okay. They responded reassuringly: "Sin problema, esperaremos a que lleguéis, si veis que os retrasáis mucho, avisadnos lo antes posible. Saludos." We arrived at 21:30 on check-in day. No one was at reception. The place was completely dark. We were left standing outside in the rain. After 30 minutes, a kind stranger helped us contact the owner, who eventually opened the smart lock via her phone. Not a single apology. And to make matters worse, the shower drain was clogged and wouldn’t drain.
