Tiny Base The River

The stay and location was wonderful. We enjoyed ourselves. Bu the rate for per person per night stay is rather steep.

This villa is just located right next to the cherry blossom trail and very close to the food stalls. Supermarket and the pharmacy are just round the corner so it is super convenient. Staff was really friendly too. The villa is exceptionally great - it’s Nordic style so I felt like staying in a Finnish villa. Loved the attic (where the double bed is) as they have a window on the roof, so that you can enjoy the stars on the bed. The garden was also great too and you can chill outdoors. Could see a bit of the cherry blossoms outside as well. One thing to note though: they can only help store your luggage till 12pm. If you need luggage storage, you might need to use the coin lockers at the train station.

We just finished our 11-day trip from Tokyo-Kawazu-Osaka. I can say that our core memory would definitely come from this place. The place is exceptionally well-maintained. Falicities are good, they have projector for a movie night, coffee maker with fresh beans, good dining area, barbecue grill, and most of all they are located in front of a river where Cherry Blossoms are located. We woke up to the sound of birds and upon opening up the window, the Sakura scene beneath a mountain view made our jaw drop. If there is one thing we can improve, it would definitely be the insulation, the bottom area of the sleeping area is a bit cold even though heaters are on. Maybe put a heater on the bottom part of that room as the heater is placed at the top. We want to stay here again in our upcoming trips.
