Rak Samui Residence

Me and my sister booked this place last minute as our original accommodation cancelled. On arrival the staff were lovely and we got allocated room 201. It was spacious and clean. Very close to night market and fisherman’s village. When we got back at 1am that’s when we realised how loud the room was. First there was the traffic including the loud motorbikes passing as we where right above the main road and the windows didn’t quite fit…. but the main problem Was a leaky dripping pipe right outside our window dripping onto an air con unit below and it made the loudest tapping sound that literally drove us insane. The staff and the room were nice but the no sleep was a problem

Good value option with great location just around the corner to the action and beach

Everything went smooth with check in. Staff was really helpful and helped us get great prices for tours in the island. Spotlessly clean and it was a nice break from campings and hostels. Very close to fisherman's village and the street night market that attracts half of the island population 5 times per week. Only downside is the nearby street which is very busy 24/7 and night sleep could be disrupted.

The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable, which made the stay pleasant overall. The staff were genuinely friendly and always willing to help — it feels like a family-run place, which gives it a warm atmosphere. The location is also excellent: very close to the market and Fisherman’s Village, making it easy to walk to shops and restaurants. I would recommend requesting a room at the end of the hotel, as it’s quieter and helps avoid traffic noise. However, housekeeping needs improvement. Please check the linen properly — I found blood stains on the sheets — and there was visible mould in the bathroom grout. Also, the cleaner didn’t appear professional (no clear dress code/standards), which didn’t match the otherwise welcoming feel of the hotel.
