This property is set right up on the beach front, and has a beautiful pool right up on the beach side. They have a nice restaurant with some great beer and snacks to rest while watching the sunset over the waves. The first night was disappointing as they were overbooked and so gave me a city-view room that was worse for wear, but made up for it with a sea-view room on the 5th Floor. I have booked sea-view for my entire trip, so was taken by surprise. The rooms are large and the AC is powerful. The hotel staff are also very friendly and keep the hotel and room extremely clean. The property is wearing its age, especially the bathrooms, and so it could use a small renovation.

Beacon Beach Hotel is at a very good location, alongside the beach. It has good facilities. We booked on half-board basis and the dinner was superb with a 4 course meal. Only thing is they need to maintain the facility little better and can improve on the cleanliness.

It's a nice hotel with friendly staff

I enjoyed the location of the hotel, looking out on to the beach. Breakfast on the top floor overlooking the sea was excellent. Best to have the sea view rooms 5th floor or higher so that you get the view above the palm trees. Pool was good although not sure why they had to have very loud bass music blasting out in the afternoon, at least it was quiet in the evening. easy access to local shops and eating and tuk tuks in to town and the fish market.

Our level 5 room had a beautiful view BUT the air conditioning wasn't on when we arrived and the room temperature was reading 34 degrees and it felt it! It took a really long time for the room to finally cool down. The sun was beating down on the big glass veranda windows and door AND the mini fridge was also turned off at the wall. I think they should turn both on if they know they have people checking in! Check-in was smooth and the staff were helpful. I asked about a massage and the reception guy booked one from nearby that cost $25 aud for 75 minutes and included pickup and drop off!! Definitely do this! When we had trouble booking a Uber for our trip to the airport the next day, the same reception guy called a friend with a van and arranged for him to come and get us on the spot so we could get to the airport on time - very very appreciated! Breakfast was on the top floor and had a good selection and a fabulous beach view. We only stayed overnight to be close to the airport and would be happy to stay there again.
