Inexpensive hotel in a great location in Iya valley near one of the vine bridges. Run by a multiple generations of the same family, with the youngest one having training as an italian chef, so so you get the occasional interesting European flair in the food, such as sliced steak with a Jalapeño pepper to give it a little kick. The food is great and worth ordering, even if it does end up doubling the total cost due to the boarding being very inexpensive. The rooms are charming, but do not have a private bathroom, and have paper thin walls that let you hear everything in the rooms near you. That is the main negative.

Japanese Ryokan with meals
Enjoyed this ryokan and the meals provided. The old lady who is running the shop is really an icon! She is so efficient and really has good memory despite her age. Its a nice and cosy Japanese ryokan to stay in Iya valley although we have to share bathroom and common toilets. The food is great and not so easy to come by particularly in Iya valley!

呢間好似大雄的家 瞓榻榻米 很舒服 婆婆煮的早餐也很好吃 呢間唔係sell五星級酒店 而係sell 人情味 雖然設施有點簡陋 同埋冇lift 但係遇上可愛的日本婆婆 你會感受到無限的愛

すごく良い
夕飯を頼んでいなかったけど夕方遅い時間でもセットメニューを1500円で用意してくれて しかもヘルシーでびっくりするほど美味しかったです

かずら橋至近、近くの滝も良い風情がありました。
