Our family of three stayed 1 night at Kyukamura Minami-Aso. Great location! couple miles from the popular Kamishikimi Kumanoimasu Shrine. The facility is aged and can use some renovation. Nevertheless, it's well run, clean and staff are more than helpful. The restaurant staff are wonderful, especially the foreign ones.(spoke English and eager to help)

Aso Stay!

A view to die for

Really amazing property with a breathtaking view. We appreciate the play area for kids and the amenities for little one however we felt that the wait staff in the restaurant were a bit judgemental when the kid was a bit loud and attention seeking.

Wonderful base to explore Mt Aso area

We had a great stay with our 3 young children under 6 for 4 nights. All of us enjoyed the delicious breakfasts and dinners prepared, and my kids really enjoyed the little play space in the lobby as well. The drinks and snacks corner available in the morning and mid-afternoon were a lovely touch. Having the onsen on the premises made it really convenient for us to visit it everyday, and it was a bonus to have the beautiful view of Mt Aso while soaking in the onsen. All in all a tremendous stay, would highly recommend.

Good location for mt aso, bit aged.

Restaurant staff were friendly but check -in staff a bit stiff. Buffet style food were ok but short of expectations, strawberries were great. The place was quite dated. Good location for Mr aso and the gorge
