A little difficult to get to if you're a foreigner, but once there, it's well worth it. Very serene, the private in-room bath is awesome, the Kaiseki for dinner and breakfast great, and the room and surroundings high quality and luxurious. The staff extremely helpful but non-english speaking, However with their translation app, no problems. Getting there is an experience in itself. Take a highway bus to Haki stn, then a classic Toyota Crown taxi will shuttle you to the property and back. If you want to experience peace, quiet, and solitude, this place is it. Grab your snacks and drinks in Hakata as the nearest combini is a 15 -20 minute walk away on a narrow 1.5 lane road and a treacherous highway stretch. Would I stay here again? - In a heartbeat.

Epitome of hospitality
Harazuru no Mai's attention to good customer service was felt even before we stayed in the ryokan. They were helpful with my requests and arranged for my partner and I to stay in a preferred room. We had a lovely overnight stay and were particularly touched by the warm hospitality and proactiveness of Ms Onizuka. Not only did she fetch us to the bus stop to catch our ride to the next ryokan, she also made sure we have the hotel's telephone number just in case we got lost. Truly an epitome of hospitality!

値段の割には量が少ない。 朝食に関しては誰でも作れるものばかり、出来合いのものを、並べただけの感じ。 料理ができる人がつくったものではない、焼き鮭になぜがチーズケーキがのってました、卵焼きと間違えてたんかな？ お部屋の雰囲気は最高でした。
