La Terra de Luc

Can’t fault the accommodation, particularly for the price. Big beautiful room, clean and housekeeping daily. Scenery at the front and back of the guesthouses was stunning. Location- wise - the guesthouses at about 1km from the gate so you need to add this on when factoring in walking distance to centre / wine tram. It took us 20 minutes to walk to wine tram so longer to get to the centre. Wouldn’t suggest walking it at night but we did during the day. Was difficult getting Uber in Franschoek so suggest not assuming these are available when planning your stay but one local taxi firm was good (Tuk Tuk taxis - which was listed in the info guide provided by the accommodation). Also, there is no reception area (or obvious one that we could see) and you’re given fobs to get through the 2 security gates to get to the accommodation so make sure to check the information book for a contact number incase required. Our fob to the gate wasn’t working late one night when returning home and luckily we pressed the button and they let us in but we were initially panicked when thinking we had no form of contact with the owners. Suggestion for host: Suggest putting a couple of benches at the grass area at the front looking over the lake. The scenery is stunning so would have been nice to be able to sit there.

Loved the surrounds. Mountain and vineyard view stunning. Enjoyed the self check in again a reminder why it Don't enjoy hotels and b&b.. come and go as you please. Room was spacious. Spoilt at home with a king size bed. So wouldn't be fair to review queen size. Not my favorite but was comfy and super comfy pillows too. We only spent one night unfortunately. Could do an entire week there..

Lovely accommodations, beautiful setting in the wine lands. A little out of the way, a bit of a challenge to get transportation from the grounds, but the spot is worth it! Very friendly staff and rooms were very clean. The bed is comfy and rooms very spacious! The only challenges we faced were knowing if the pools on the grounds were accessible to guests, no place to eat, so you must organize before you arrive/ when you arrive. Everything you need is supplied, cups/ plates/ cutlery. Would return to stay the next time we are in area.
