Unfortunately, this guesthouse was not as advertised, and our stay was extremely disappointing. The food was unacceptable. The breakfast served was poorly prepared and unhygienic — soggy viennas, oily eggs, and cheese that appeared to have already been used by other guests. It was honestly inedible. The kitchen itself was very dirty and severely outdated, giving the impression that it is rarely cleaned or properly maintained. The overall decor is old and neglected, with mismatched items such as teacups and sheets draped over sofas in an attempt to decorate, which only made the place feel unkempt. Although the staff members were generally friendly, they appeared very shy and unsure, which was strange for a hospitality environment. Their overall presentation was also unprofessional. Upon arrival, one of the staff members was wearing a baggy T-shirt and shorts and was barefoot. For a guesthouse, staff should ideally be in uniform or at least dressed in a professional and appropriate manner. The lady manager was pleasant but not honest. Upon arrival, we were promised access to DSTV, yet it was not paid for during the entire three days of our stay. Another staff member, whom I assume is a manager or supervisor, was quite rude. He told us what time we should go to sleep, what time we should eat and instructed us not to play music due to the extremely thin walls. The music was not loud at all, but because the rooms are very close together and poorly insulated, every sound can be heard. There was also a foul smell throughout the property, and the ant infestation was completely out of control. This place does not just need a facelift — it urgently needs a thorough, deep clean, proper maintenance, and better management oversight. I would not recommend staying here. It is far better to pay a bit more elsewhere for accommodation that actually offers value, honesty, and basic standards of cleanliness.

Stayed for 1 night. The bathtub was clean but the shower was beyond filthy. The whole house is cluttered. The dining/ breakfast area decor is from 1900 the jam jar is dirty. Got served 2 eggs with fish fingers most disgusting breakfast ever. No hot water to bath the morning. I would never recommend this dump

Love, love love the indoor Braai Area, staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfast, stayed in Room 6. There 8s a electric blanket and heater in room for the cold nights. Worked Har during day time and really relaxed there in the evening. Would degenstely stay there again.
