Although a little complicated to access being in a residential building, using emailed codes and the worlds smallest lift, a warm and welcoming reception. The room was pleasant, warm and had all the things you need, apart from tea and coffee making. The room could be noisy with some sort of construction happening and loud music, but probably just part of life in a residential building. Reception staff went above and beyond to welcome us and communicate with us as our Portuguese is very limited. The staff made excellent efforts to speak and understand English. They even gave us a tray with tea and coffee making,flasks of hot water and a plate of biscuits. A little more attention to hard to clean areas, like under the bed, along the skirting would be good. Also a few dangerous electrical faults such as two spots with electrical wires, that could be live, such as the hair dryer needs immediate attention with plastering. The water damage in the bathroom will worsen, although I don’t know the solution, but cutting the bottom of the bathroom door off is a bit unsightly ( maybe Perspex over the door, and along the joints??). The free parking at the rear was also a bonus as that can be a worry.A stay made memorable by the wonderful breakfast room and friendly helpful staff. We would definitely come back. 2 Aussies in their 50s.
