Paraíso Resiliente

Paraiso Resiliente is in a lovely location and the facilities are very good. It did not get the 5 stars due to the location being next door to a karting track which was racing all Saturday and Sunday from 9am through to 6:30pm which was extremely noisy. As most days were spent hiking and exploring the island, it was best to stay away. Being an older property there is a strong smell of mustiness in the soft furnishings in the living area and the bedroom and this can be hard to tolerate if you have asthma or breathing difficulties. The kitchen is generally well equipped and there is an outside BBQ although it requires a grill which I understand the owner is trying to locate one. There was plenty of hot water, and the owners provided free fresh vegetables. The bed was a small double but comfortable, all with views to the mountains. We went to one of the nearby restaurants recommended to us which was turned out a disaster as the fish was not fresh and had clearly been reheated, and a tin of chickpeas were tipped onto the plate with some boiled potatoes and an egg. Very disappointing! We recommend Restaurant Gale a short drive away, especially if you like fish.
