“Clean, well equipped, well located. I couldn't ask for more!”

“We had stayed here before COVID and had fond memories of the place and it was great to return to it after so many years. It seemed as if the place had gone under a lot of upgrades and the failities were excellent. The staff went out of their way to make us feel at home and helped us prepare each day ahead of the Cape Epic race. Top hotel in Stellenbosch and well worth the money ”

“Batavia Boutique Hotel is in a great location in Stellenbosch. Our room was clean and tidy, and the staff were helpful. However, breakfast really let this hotel down. There weren't enough tables for guests or staff to serve. The continental items weren't topped up and there was only one toaster causing delays. For the hot food, there was no menu so the staff member had to tell every table what was on the menu rather than people having decided in advance. The coffee wasn't good.”

“For the price you pay, the room is super basic. No smart TV, every night there is a loud vibrating noise coming from the building adjacent, the hot water takes for ever to come on. The poor design of the bathroom room is truly shocking. No power point so you can’t get ready in the bathroom, only one light that is connected to an exhaust fan so every time you use the bathroom you wake up everyone. A simple night light would have worked great. If you don’t have a car you have no options for dinner as the restaurant is only open for breakfast and lunch. The swimming pool is great and the staff were excellent but for the price you pay you are better looking for something in actual Stellenbosch town centre. Overall I would not recommend this place and have been very disappointed with my stay.”
