Check in relatively smooth.
Was greeted by the manager with “I can offer you an upgrade for a good review on Booking.com”.
The “upgraded”room had an ant colony living in it.
Changed to the initial booked ‘Deluxe Twin’ room, which was actually ok nice, until the bathroom door was opened. Goodness, smelled like a direct link to the sewage tank. Absolutely disgusting. Several tiles were also cracked off, with risk of injury.
Was given a standard double room, which was a “degrade”, so was refused again.
Eventually got a triple room, still smelly, but manageable.
Internet didn’t work at any time. No channels on the TV. Breakfast very basic.
Room was not cheap, so a certain standard was expected. This “hotel” hasn’t seen any refurbishment since probably 1980.
Absolutely not recommended!”
