“My wife and I travel many times a year, but we’ve never experienced the total package like we did at The Scholar. The people at this property are truly second to none—and that starts at the top. Jose, the General Manager, is one of the most incredible leaders I’ve ever met. His team clearly takes their cue from him; every employee we encountered went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were treated as if we were the only guests in the hotel. Check-in was seamless, and our room was spotless—so clean it looked brand new. In the morning, we ordered takeout from the restaurant downstairs and were helped by Mike. If I could give Mike a million stars, I would! He was genuinely attentive and went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect. Each time we saw him around the hotel, he stopped to ask how we were doing and if there was anything he could do to make our stay even better. His kindness and pride in his work truly stood out. A big shoutout as well to John, Stephanie, Josh, and Kara, who checked in with us via text throughout our stay to see how things were going. The entire staff was friendly, proactive, and professional—an absolute reflection of Jose’s leadership. WOW! What an amazing experience from start to finish. Thank you to Jose and the entire team at The Scholar for making our stay unforgettable. We can’t wait to come back!”

“Dated hotel, but is nicely kept. We stopped off to rest our head for the night, and will likely be back when we come through again. Bed was bouncy, but if you are alone it would be fine. Can't beat the price!”

“Stayed there for 3 nights, staff was friendly, room was clean, nothing to worry about, easy to access Uni, and probably the best price to value, but don't expect any extra facilities. Breakfast is just coffee and cereal, so don't expect much, but I would say it serves the purpose of starting your day”
