“We had to get a hotel for one night passing through Salem and I’m so glad we chose this hotel! Very comfortable bed and sheets (this is important) and the staff had us checked in so quickly. Great breakfast in the morning, not your average here is a bagel but rather a breakfast spread! I’d definitely stay here again ◡̈ ”

“Beds were comfortable, staff was friendly, checking in and out was easy. Shower and sink were slow to drain during use and got backed up but not clogged.”

“won't recommend because the early morning staff lady who I thought was completely unprofessional and created so much chaos when she started screaming at me and still kicked me out of the room after I had done already pay for another night and reservation on this app she cancelled my reservation. and told me I would have to work out my refund with this app which I'm not so sure how to do that. anyways I wouldn't recommend simply because she's super unprofessional and very much seems to enjoy creating chaos and stress for those who are just trying to spend a day relaxing I got charged for the extra night but didn't get to stay super unhappy ”

“This is a very convenient stop over when traveling from northern california to Seattle. Right off the 5 with restaurants nearby. Staff is friendly and helpful. Price is very reasonable. I couldn't figure out how to turn on the bedside lamps, it seemed like maybe they weren't working.”

“We moved from out-of-the country to Salem, OR and stayed for a month at the Howard Johnson on Mission St. We needed the time to get ourselves set up in our new life here. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location was central enough that we could get anywhere we needed easily. The breakfast food was basic but edible and plentiful. Although the hotel was busy, out room was usually quiet. The TV remote was a bit difficult to figure out, but we finally made it work. Overall, a good experience.”

“Kind of a rough area/rough crowd. Homeless camps right next door and much of the clientele looks like they are on their way to/from the homeless camps, jail, or the drug dealer. Orange juice and a granola bar is NOT a "breakfast", even if it is free. If they didn't advertise "free breakfast", it would be a nice touch....just don't call it breakfast. Room smelled moldy/mildewy. Heating system very noisy and crappy. Adjoining room was very npisy and kwpt me up most of the night. Pool area looked surprisingly nice, but I didn't get in. Don't go 5 minutes after the 11am checkout time (which they failed to mention), or they will harass you and threaten you with fees. I doubt that I will go back.”
