“She’s a Grand Dame but in need of a total refurbishment/paint job. Had a king room without a balcony and it felt fairly claustrophobic…won’t do that again! I requested maid service but they never showed😢 Shower faucet was difficult to work or get proper pressure….plus a few tiles had some minor mildew/mold. The staff were all welcoming and friendly….just wish the bar adjacent to the pool opened earlier on weekdays(opens 5pm)! The pool area is nice…with new umbrellas and chairs…just wished someone would check hot tub for removal of blown in debris and wished the main pool was not so murky…perhaps a new or better filtered is needed. All in all, we had a relaxing staycation for a few nights, the staff are superb and the free cookies you get are SO tasty😍”

“When I first arrived to get my room,they had told me that dogs are okay,but cats are not allowed even though their website says pets allowed. They need to fix it, saying that dogs are allowed, & cats are not allowed. So a guest of mine got arrested, & two days later after the incident, they ended up kicking me out saying that they got complaints of police, & because police presence isn't allowed. Also they knocked on my door around 11:30, & said that they were giving me until 12:00 to be out. I didn't leave until after 5 because I didn't have help to move my stuff out, I'm homeless, & I don't have a vehicle. I had to wait for my friend to show up with our U-Haul truck, & then I had to wait for a friend to come pick me up since there wasn't room in the U-Haul truck 4 me. They were very rude, & pushy. They were mad because I didn't leave at 12:00 like they had told me. They didn't care that I was homeless, I didn't have a lot of help packing up my stuff, & moving it out, & that I don't have a vehicle to get around in. ”

“My 2nd visit. I return because of the comfort level. Same very welcoming manager and staff. It is close to the Redwoods and ocean. They serve a wonderful breakfast to prepare for my day.”

“Staff was not very pleasant. They charged an extra $50 for the spa facilities upon arrival even if you don’t want or use them. Overpriced. ”

“Looks like the motel is changing to a Choice hotel; some refurbishment going on. No internet during our stay. Our room was clean, mini fridge was handy. Next door to fast food.. We got a good price, and we would stay again under the same circumstances.”

“It’s in transition to another management. They could do a lot better as the hotel is new and very clean. Our room didn’t have towels when we got there. No food or breakfast provided. They told us light pastries but only coffee was served. No music in the lobby even though it’s a nice one. Coffee and tea in the room is nothing impressive. Staff are very nice though. ”
