“So I was visiting my dad in Chicago and I was going on a solo trip. I specifically wanted a hotel room with a Jacuzzi tub in the room so I could have a self-care day in addition to my weekend getaway. The entire hotel was so dirty. Gum and dirt on the floor in the elevator, the room was really outdated. The worst part was the staff though. I got there and they just handed me my room key and said bye. The hotel is odd because you cannot take the elevator up to the second floor because there’s an east and west elevator and the 2nd floor does not connect. I was lost and frustrated taking the wrong elevator. No one spoke English so they couldn’t help me get to where I needed to be. I had to go back down to the lobby to find out that the west elevator is totally different from the main elevator. The only thing that they had going for them was that the gym was decent. The pillows were all king sized and you could not cuddle with them and the AC did not provide enough white noise to drown out the noise in the hallways. So I had to buy an app on my phone. Anyways, the whole trip could’ve been 100 times better with a decent staff and pillows ”
