“I loved the smell of cedar paneling as I walked down the hall. Bed was comfortable and neither the hotel or the intersection it was located were noisy allowing for restful sleep. Breakfast, although modest, was better than pretty much every other budget motel I've stayed at. Hostess was attentive to every detail. All in all, highly recommended for the value and the people.”

“We needed an overnight stay when Madison, WI had very limited hotel room availability. Econo Lodge Madison East popped up in our search, and through Agoda.com, was priced right . The hotel had very basic amenities, and looked do-able. So we booked it. On arrival, the room was basic, clean, and as pictured on the site, dated. But again, clean. Staff was courteous, and managed to get us a ground floor room in an almost fully occupied hotel. Our room had a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee-maker and coffee. Beds were comfortable with good support, but the pillows were too firm if your preference is thinner and forgiving. Plenty of towels, and clean linens. The bathroom, sink, and toilet were dated but clean. The tub had been re-surfaced, was clean, but very chipped. So a soaking bath wasn't on my list. Our newer wood-looking vinyl flooring was freshly washed. The lobby and grounds were well lit, clean, and maintained - with plenty of parking despite being fully-booked. As stated on the website, no breakfast is served, but coffee was available in the lobby during the morning and was actually quite good. Convenient to retail and grocery shopping, sit-down chain restaurants, and fast food.. Highway interchange just a couple of minutes away. Costco, an 8 minute jaunt. UW-Madison campus -less than 25 minutes. Overall, delivered what we expected--a very basic, quiet, safe stay in a clean but very dated room - basic amenities, and good coffee, at a very competitive price.”
