“A great hotel for a quick overnight trip for a sporting event nearby. Clean and comfortable. Only a few comments….we reserved a queen suite with 3 guests and the pull-out bed had to be made by us (no sheets on it at all). Also, housekeeping definitely didn’t check in the bathroom drawers as someone had left their dental retainer in a drawer. Also, breakfast is a very basic continental breakfast but meets the need for a quick morning bite when you are on the go. We would stay again despite the comments above.”

“Got the queen suite, however the bathroom was way smaller than any bathroom in a suite I ever stayed in. So small there wasn’t enough rooms to store towels. The pedestal sink was a poorly conceived idea with little room for the hair dryer. Little to no toiletries available. The shower/tub was small even for a small framed woman. No safe available to store personal items.”

“I was so pleased with my stay here. It was in the perfect location, particularly for my granddaughter, visiting the University of Kentucky. The staff was so friendly and helpful with regard to local attractions. It was our first time in Kentucky and the experience with the employees there, and I feel very confident to say, demonstrates the stereotypical, southern hospitality, that New Yorkers often hear about. It was truly a great and wonderful experience, and it is the only place that I would recommend, understandably it’s the only place we’ve stayed in Kentucky, but that being said the location, transportation, and again, exceptional hospitality is some thing we look forward to in the future when we visit, our granddaughter at University of Kentucky . Thank you so much!”

“I stayed here with my daughter for a huge event we do every single year. I have stayed at this hotel for the last 5 years because it's so economical and has everything we need. I can honestly say that I will never return now because of our check out experience. We needed to check out by 11am. We had a very late night with our business at another hotel the night before, so we were not moving quickly the next day to check out. We probably should have asked for a late check out, but here's what turned us off. I find it to be rudeness on behalf of management. At 11:04am we had a loud and aggressive knock on our door. My daughter answered and the person asked, "Are you leaving?" She replied that we were and just finishing packing up. The person then said, "Check out is 11am!" It was only 11:04am! A few minutes later we got a phone call telling us to check out. At 11:17am our stuff was out the door on a cart and the GM called and said we needed to check out. We actually had 2 knocks on our door and 2 phones calls between 11:04am and 11:17am. We finally were out at 11:30am. I just have never felt so ousted or thrown out in my life. Especially from a place I go to every year. They just really blew it with us. The Manager should have handled the situation like this, "Hi, are you in need of extra time to check out? How much time do you need or we can just give you a late check out. It's been our pleasure having you." I don't know why the were rushing us when they're was no one there. The maid was waiting at our door and she was so upset telling us to take our time and that she had no other rooms to attend to and that we were not holding her up. Anyway, people really need to learn people skills. It's not hard to be kind and get your message across. We will not return here next year. We also had a room at the Clarion, which was set up for our business stuff and they actually offered us late check out and they were so courteous. It was a night and day experiences. ”
