“We frequented the Cape Codder Resort and were excited to see some of the multi million dollar upgrades they have been boasting about under the new owners, that clearly have not commenced in the rooms, but really looks like nothing has been done so far except some new blue paint in some areas inside and out. The lazy river area has been closed for upgrades for some time and reopened the day of our arrival, but we didn't notice any upgrades except the lighthouse with slides was now painted blue. No changes to the room at all and place seems to be going downhill. The room was musty smelling with mold on the wall. Pillows were like rocks. No microwave in room. Not worth the price per night especially that hefty resort fee they charge. The outdoor pool was not accessible from inside the hotel as it was last time we stayed. Had to call front desk to ask how to get there and if it was open for use. Was told had to drive around to get to it only to find it locked and unusable. Pretty disappointed that the new owners aren't seeming to care about what is really important. Quality and price instead of accent paint. The rooms could have used a fresh coat of paint and new flooring. Would have been much improved and make people want to return. I got the feeling this place wasn't worth the $ when upon checking in I noticed that they couldn't be bothered to change a burnt out light bulb at the side of their entrance. We had nice stays in the past but we will not be returning. I wouldn't call this a resort it is far from it ”
