“Everything about this place was perfect except the water pressure in the shower was not the best. ”

“My wife and I stayed here for a night with our two young boys. We found the room to be comfortable, spacious and clean. The hotel overall was equally nice, the breakfast was pretty good (the eggs were actually seasoned!), and the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. However, during a complimentary dinner event on the night we stayed, my wife simply tried to get our son some of the nachos that were offered. Following the instructions posted, she asked the bartender for assistance, and he yelled at her to go to the other side of the dining area to get other food. We reported this incident to the front desk and they were very apologetic about it. They also gave us the manager's contact information as he was out of town. I emailed him, and never got a response. However, the staff at the hotel did inform me the next day that there were 2 other guest complaints about the bartender, and he was going to be placed on leave. I feel the response was correct, but I'm very disappointed by the absence of any follow-up by the manager from my email. Still, having stayed in Ft. Stockton a number of times making a somewhat frequent family visit trip, I would say this was the most comfortable and nicest hotel we've tried in town. I would stay there again, but would not go anywhere near the dining area in the evenings, just in case that bartender is still employed there.”

“I requested a first-floor room, but the front desk claimed none were available and assigned me a room on the second floor. Later, when I stepped out to get my belongings, the same front desk attendant promptly gave a first-floor room to a lady who was behind me in line around mid-30’s. I saw her entering the room on the first floor. When I questioned him, he apologized. I believe this incident may be rooted in racism.”
