“I enjoyed my stay from the moment I got there. The lady that checked me in, even move my room to one closer to where my car was parked. I had to have a back procedure a few days later. The breakfast was so good. And it was close to an appointment I had the next morning. The room was so nice with everything. And at such a good price. I definitely recommend it to everyone. And it was so safe and secure. ”

“The stay at the Drury Inn & Suites Birmingham Lakeshore Drive was amazing. The staff is absolutely wonderful. Everyone is extremely kind helpful, and friendly Lavonda at the front desk went above and beyond for us. The room was nice and big smell really good. The food and the drinks was on point. They make you feel like you are home away from home. The hot tub was amazing. My next stay I will stay there again. The area was nice as well had everything you needed walmart, restaurants, Lowes, shopping malls. Will stay again at the drury inn & suites nice hotel. ”

“Friendly and courteous but inexperienced and incompetent front desk staff. Poor communication / listening skills. Paid for king size room. Was booked into a queen double. Returned to front desk to make staff aware of issue, no offer was made to switch room to proper size. Since this was a one-night stay I did not elevate the issue. Room cleanliness and furnishings were excellent. Telephone in room did not work. Staff stated they were unable to do anything about the telephone service. Staff was unable to tell me how much I paid for the room (booked through an outside agency.) Staff could not tell me the amount that was charged to my charge card at check-in. I called my credit card company and learned I had been charged $20.00. Staff then told me that was a refundable security deposit. At check-out, staff told me I would have to contact the booking agency for a receipt for my stay. Staff could not give me a proof of payment and refund of the security deposit.”

“Unfortunately for our visit the entire building is in the midst of reconstruction. If that had been disclosed on the site, we would have picked a different venue. The main foyer and check in was demolished. The hallways everywhere were a mess - dents, dings, dirty floors, signs off the walls or hanging by a thread upside down. One of our rooms had NO TOWELS at all. We were able to request at the counter, and did receive what we needed. Two of the desk clerks were kind and helpful, one particular woman was not. She bordered on rude. Breakfast was a brown bag with an unsavory biscuit sandwich, a packaged sweet roll and a piece of fruit. Not that breakfast was to be amazing, but disclosing the info about construction to visitors prior to reserving would have eliminated all the surprises and lowered our expectations. Overall, one of my worst stays at a Hampton Inn. ”
