“The hotel is really fit for solo travelers and couples, but beware that the walls are not soundproof at all, and you hear everything from the corridor and the adjacent rooms. I heard the staff speak on the phone and heard the person on the other side of the line. I heard the guests speaking and listening to music on their phones or TVs until late night. The bathroom is tiny (as is the room) and privacy is hardly guaranteed. The room facilities are dated (the front door get stuck at half way when opening, the wardrobe door always got stuck in the rails, noise from the window). The staff is friendly and tries to help. The housekeeping personal is eager to attend to requests. Breakfast was decent and you can get all the essential stuff. The location is great - right next to Cevahir Mall and Şişli/Mecdiyekoy metro is next door.. But considering the shortcomings probably not retuning again. ”

“It was all perfect except 2 things. The first was a problem with the reservation but this was Agoda-‘s fault. The receptionist wasn’t able to find our reservation for about 2 hours. It appears that Agoda actually send our reservation to Expedia, without letting us know. So the confirmation number was wrong and this was the problem we couldn’t check in for 2 hours! And the second thing was that when we went to the Spa centre and wanted to use the Sauna, the lady there said this is not possible because the sauna was RESERVED FOR other 2 people!!! We had the same right as these 2 people to use the sauna, but the staff didn’t let us do it. We assumed that these 2 people had paid money to the staff to reserve the sauna just for them. This was very disrespectful for us & all other guests. The staff told us to come back on the other day! But we were leaving the other day so we couldn’t use the sauna at all, even though we had the same right to use it. So this was unpleasant and disrespectful experience. The manager should be aware about it! Otherwise the rooms are spacious and very clean, the receptionists are very polite and helpful.”

“5성급 호텔이 아니어서 3개의 객실에 에어컨이 없어서 망설일 수도 있습니다. 3박을 했는데 창문을 열어 신선한 공기를 마실 정도로 비참했습니다. 늦은 밤에 돌아왔기 때문에 밤에 불평하지 않았습니다. 매일 아침 에어컨 수리를 요청했고 긍정적인 결과가 나오지 않아 안심시켰습니다. 이 호텔은 피하세요. 아침 식사 메뉴가 다양하지 않습니다. 그러나 도로 건너편에 있는 Haci Basar Place에서 아침 식사는 훌륭합니다. ”

“I had a great stay at the Fairmont Quasar while attending a conference. The staff are warm, relaxed and friendly with great personality. Head Chef Mehmet and waiter Baran made the breakfast experience memorable. I will not hesitate to stay here again the next time I’m in Istanbul.”
