“After seeing positives we selected this B&B. Breakfast was very basic and not luxurious as claimed in their brochure. The negatives: we were charged a room cleaning fee apart from the tourist tax upfront at check-in, which was not mentioned anywhere including the Agoda confirmation voucher. We felt cheated as we never utilised their housekeeping services during our four night stay. As mentioned in their brochure housekeeping was mandatory only for a 5 night and above stay! A request to the owners- please avoid appointing racist woman like the one who served us breakfast one morning during our stay. You have apologised for the same personally during our stay but these one off incidents leave a bad taste and memories of our trip to Maribor!”

“Overall, everything was excellent. However, the room did not have a fan, so it felt a bit warm at night. Additionally, the window could not be fully opened, which limited the airflow and prevented much cool breeze from outside coming in. Also the name of hotel is not b&b bau, the actual name was hotel bau, thus making search for the location through google bit difficult”

“Great location, superb facility, modern and nice looking. Breakfast was really good, serving personnel kind and fast. However, in our suite was cold... Apparently, the thermostat on the wall was useless, from the air duct only cold air was coming, which I found difficult to switch off. We got a little heater, which was on all night. Not nearly enough for the whole suite. Bathroom was almost cold, only the separate toilet was warm. Couldn't find any form of heating in bedroom. With outside temperature -6 Centigrade, it was not a pleasant night. In every case, I recommend the hotel, but try to check if heating is working. ”

“Staff very pleasant, location is under a small mountain with lots of options to relax, very nice breakfast, they even upgraded our room. Sauna is for additional charge, however it is good value”

“We stayed for 1 night. The place is in an excellent location, right in the city center. Although the street is noisy, full of restaurants, the room and the balcony was very quiet. Very clean! Bathroom with shower was excellent. We booked a double room and had no kitchen, but on the balcony there was a table and some chairs, and we asked for a fork and spoon from the pub. Parking in the nearby is not easy, but instead of going round, it is worth to wait 10-15 min in front of the old post office and someone will eventually leave. Shops, cafés, restaurants and the riverside is steps away. ”
