“This hotel is usually quite overpriced, but I found a date with relatively good pricing. The double room was nice, with lots of space. They had their own brand of shower gel/shampoo which smelled really good. The breakfast was tasty, but felt a bit lacking in options. You must try their freshly-baked buns though. The pool was outdoors on the top floor, and it was raining. Probably a good spot in the summer though.”

“We stayed over for one night at the castle (choose a room with shared bathrooms to ensure this). The shared bathrooms weren't an issue, since I believe only two rooms on my floor were booked. There were some quite large spiders near the roof in the room, but the roof was so high up that it did not really matter. The breakfast was nice and pleasant, with a lot of space. Only real negative would be the renovation of one room. They left some staircase in the middle of the hallway, and it had a loud fan on the entire night. All in all, I would totally recommend the double room. It was relatively cheap (cheaper than Scandic), and the suite was really not needed when you had all of the castle around you to explore. Great and spooky near Halloween 🎃👻”

“I was so immensely happy with E.Shad.Vaxjo! It was a bit of a smaller room but it was very nice! The shower was amazing! I think my one complaint is genuinely that the bed was too soft for my body. I have a disability, so very soft beds aren't great for me - this was easily remedied by using one of the very nice pillows as a back support though! :) The breakfast was absolutely amazing, by the way. Oh my gods, if I could eat that every day. Thanks again to all the wonderful people working here - you all made me feel very welcomed! ”
