Later, Sangeeta happened to mention that we would be celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary on 20 May while in Cusco. Within an hour of checking in, a plate of delicious macarons and a handwritten note from the front office team arrived at our room — such a thoughtful and touching gesture. The hotel itself was impeccable: stunning views of Lake Titicaca, comfortable rooms, and excellent food. But what truly made this stay unforgettable was the warmth and ever-smiling responsiveness of everyone — from the bellboy and restaurant staff to the front office team. As we checked out, the entire front office staff gathered to wish us a happy anniversary and bid us farewell with a beautiful alpaca wool gift. Without doubt, this has been our most memorable hotel stay so far. A reminder that while luxury may impress, it is kindness that leaves a lasting impression.”
