“Magnifique séjour ”

“For the price I paid for this hotel, I wish I would just stayed at my previous hotel in Agadir. The room although big, lacks furniture and always cold, there's aircon but it can't warm the whole room. The outdoor pool becomes a bath area for the birds in the morning, so maybe dangerous catching disease if you swim there. There's an indoor heated pool but we didn't use it. The breakfast was not good, just the usual pastries and scrambled egg. Any extra you order (i.e. another cup of coffee) you have to pay for. The most terrible thing about this hotel is the WiFi, no connection the whole time we stayed there. I had to buy data from the shops to get devent connection. I would not recommend this hotel and would not go back again.”

“The hotel was friendly, clean and presentable. Redda in guest relations was most helpful and the complimentary room upgrade and surprise birthday treats were so special. The spa is not up to par for us, given our regular experiences. I had to ask for the steam room use several times which they had switched on eventually. Most spas are warm this was cold but certainly welcoming and relaxing area. I am still unsure why you would have a whirlpool are but only for decoration not use. The hotel's own restaurants are considerably more expensive however the great location does open a raft of local restaurants serving up varying cuisines and 80% cheaper prices. Hotel breakfast was sufficient but lacking but not out of this world and certainly no full English style breakfasts. Training of restaurant staff could be much higher for the quality of the hotel, e.g. serving a basic breakfast tea and listening to the guest specific requests (please with cold milk) then delivering a coffee with hot milk on the side is beyond basic comprehension. Not once but daily with different staff even thought they repeated back to us. Our only (more important) negative feedback was that we felt that men were treated with much more respect than women, this may perhaps be a local culture behaviour to talk to the man even when the women asks the question, but it is unacceptable today. So yes we would stay at The View Agadir again or consider the Sofitel should there be a next time. ”
