“We had a great experience with Meta, his family, and his pets (including 2 puppies!). Our homestay helped us understand the experience of locals. Meta is an upbeat, high-energy entrepreneur who speaks pretty good English so we really enjoyed our experience talking to him. Comfortable bed and warm shower. The nearby temple played prayer music starting around 6am which was surprisingly loud. It may have been for a funeral (so not regularly scheduled) but we're not sure. So, ear plugs might be helpful. We really enjoyed seeing Meta's rice farm, local (rural) coffee shop, and the surrounding area. We heard the silk farm was really interesting too, but didn't have time to see it.”
