“The furniture feels basic and dated for the price, and the beds are not particularly comfortable. I initially booked in advance and paid extra for flexible cancellation, as I wasn’t sure I could get time off work. I later cancelled and rebooked once my plans were confirmed. However, on arrival I was given a room without the balcony that had originally been agreed, with the explanation that it was due to the cancellation and rebooking. The room rate remained the same, despite the fact I had paid more specifically for flexibility. It felt very disappointing and as though I had been allocated a worse room because of the cancellation. This really took away from the experience and ruined what should have been a balcony view stay. Overall good location, good breakfast. ”
