“Staffs were very helpful. Room was clean with a nice view of the lake. Easy to access the lake. Just cross the small road. Breakfast was good. A bit of noise from the road.”

“Cons first - No elevator that we saw and our room was up 3 flights of stairs. We went up and down them a lot. No window peep hole. The door didn't automatically lock so you had to use the key on the big key chain and lock yourself in each time you were in your room. Beds were extremely hard. The lighting was stark, LED, (energy-saving maybe?) but flickered on like florescent and seemed like an operating room. Not homey rooms I would say. No outlets/phone charging by the beds. Water made our hair very dry and straw-like after showering. Biggest problem though: A note saying "Air Conditioning will not be available between the hours of 6am and 5pm due to gas and electricity costs" was in our room. We didn't know that until we physically checked into our room. It was August = Hot and besides, we booked based on the fact it said air conditioning. No reduction in rate was offered. Then, through no fault of the owner, a thunderstorm overloaded the circuits and the AC we did have for limited hours went off completely at 2am. Again, not the fault of the owner but when I tried to talk with her the next morning about how miserable it was for us and to try to find a solution for next time/customer, like maybe a number we could have called, a button we could have pushed or even getting a fan in the room she either didn't fully understand or wasn't receptive to finding a contingency plan. So, the little time with the AC we did get was cut short and no way to get a remedy. We spent a sweltering night in our room. I told her we tried but couldn't leave the windows open due to the noises outside listed below and the fact the beautiful, heavy-duty shutters banged loudly closed every time the wind blew through. I nicely explained all this and more. However, no compensation for our miserable night was offered. Our room, #24 was above the kitchen and while it had two good-sized windows it was very loud at night with dogs barking, ambulance, sprinklers coming on and in the early mor”
